About Horne Engineering, Inc.

Horne Engineering, Inc. is a consulting engineering firm located in Jessamine County, Kentucky.  Founded in 1967, its offices have been located in Nicholasville for more than four decades. Horne Engineering, Inc. has provided quality services in multi-disciplines including land planning, design, land surveying,and construction management.  In addition, work in land development has provided extensive experience in combining technical expertise that ensures a sound design and end product with aesthetic considerations to produce improvements that all who use will fully enjoy.  As Engineer for multiple governmental and quasi-governmental agencies in Nicholasville and Jessamine County since 1974, among other State and Municipal clients, Horne Engineering, Inc. is experienced with public improvement projects involving State and Federal Funding.

Members of the Horne Engineering, Inc. staff have held employment with the Kentucky Department of Transportation, municipalities, private engineering consultants and a National Environmental consultant. This experience includes projects for clients such as US Army Corps of Engineers, Jessamine County Fiscal Court, Jessamine South Elkhorn Water District, City of Nicholasville, US Army, City of Berea, Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States Air Force, City of Wilmore, Kentucky State Board of Licensure for Surveyors and Engineers, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, and  the Nicholasville-Jessamine County Parks and Recreation Board.

In addition to the client list that Horne Engineering, Inc. has served, its staff members regularly work with numerous regulatory and funding agencies, some of which include: Kentucky Division of Water, Kentucky Public Service Commission, Kentucky Infrastructure Authority, Kentucky Finance Cabinet, Rural Development, Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Jessamine County Health Department, Cabinet for Health Services, Cities of Nicholasville and Wilmore Utility Departments, and the Office of the Governor, Department for Local Government.
